Who Cried the Most is a spirited contest between Brooklyn roommates Jane Van Cleef, Han Yu, and Tamara Rodriguez Reichberg. Founded on January 6, 2007, the contest seeks to celebrate sorrow, pain, and the pathos of human existence through camaraderie and healthy competition. For the past six months, our three contenders have meticulously recorded each time they’ve cried. House rules have defined a single cry as the accumulation of at least five tears per sitting, shed in sadness or affliction. From the onset, Van Cleef, Yu, and Rodriguez Reichberg have aggressively dueled for the coveted prize of a pizza party to honor our winner—the person to have cried the most by July 6, 2007. On this day, we invite friends and loved ones to join in the special disclosure and commemoration of our proud victor and to share in the pitiful defeat of her challengers.
